SL-BioLock Piloting
SL-BioLock retrofits conventional healthcare waste bins with load-cell sensing, GSM connectivity, secure locking and a digital monitoring dashboard, enabling real-time weight tracking, data logging and remote monitoring.SL-BioLock began with the identification of gaps in healthcare waste security, traceability and monitoring. The first prototype was developed as a standalone smart bin, integrating a load cell for weight measurement, GSM connectivity for remote data transmission, RFID card access control, a secure sealing mechanism, QR-code identification and an integrated disinfectant system. This early prototype established the core technology and informed the evolution of SL-BioLock into a more practical retrofit solution for existing healthcare waste infrastructure.
